Description
Português: Duas agências da ONU lançaram esta semana um apelo urgente contra a escassez de alimentos que atinge cerca de 800 mil refugiados na África. A falta de alimentos ameaça piorar os níveis já inaceitáveis ​​de desnutrição, anemia e nanismo, que atingem particularmente as crianças.

A diretora executiva do Programa Mundial de Alimentos (PMA), Ertharin Cousin, e o chefe do Alto Comissariado da ONU para Refugiados (ACNUR), António Guterres, pediram um financiamento extra para atender as necessidades básicas dos refugiados africanos, durante reunião em Genebra (Suíça). O valor de 186 milhões de dólares permitiria ao PMA voltar a entregar rações básicas e 39 milhões de dólares ajudariam o ACNUR a oferecer suporte nutricional aos refugiados.
