Description
English: Includes illustrations of the seasons and the elements, notes, and two celestial hemispheres. According to Shirley, the map is based on one by Visscher, rather than Blaeu. Illustrations of costumes: Francois -- Espaignolz -- Italiens -- Allemans -- Anglois -- Hollandois -- Cevx de lisle de Groenland -- Les Chinois -- De lisle de Java -- De la Gvinee -- Dv Perov -- De Magellan. LC copy lightly colored. Mounted on cloth, with pin holes in all corners. Shirley, R.W. Mapping of the world, 364 Available also through the Library of Congress Web site as a raster image.
