English: Notice, Chapel Hill Pleasure Grounds. This is a fragment of a metal sign, embedded in the foot of the tree shown in 862628. From the visible words "WE REQUEST ... IN PROTECT ... SHRUBS AND ... NOTICE TO T... OR ATTENT .." etc, the gist is fairly clear. Quite why it is exactly where it is and how just this section remains will probably be a mystery forever. |
