English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
Impression of the daily business at the bauxite mines in Suriname. SHOTS: - winning of ore starts at the surface; workers with drills and dragline excavators; with dynamite the ore is blown to pieces; - in the factory the ore is further processed: it is cleaned with water canons; transported across a narrow gauge railway with lorries; and dried in rotating driers.

Impressie van de gang van zaken bij de bauxietmijnen in Suriname. SHOTS: - winning van erts gebeurt aan de oppervlakte; arbeiders met drilboren en draglines; met dynamiet wordt het erts in stukken geblazen; - in de fabriek wordt het gewonnen erts verder bewerkt: het wordt schoongemaakt met waterkanonnen; over smalspoor getransporteerd met lorry's; gedroogd in roterende droogtrommels. |
