Dutch experts leave by airplane from Santani airport near Hollandia to go to the Baliem valley in the central highlands to make an orientation visit. Papuan people greet the members on their arrival, a.o. mrs. G.H. Keizer-Hardix, chairwoman of the Dutch Association for Housewives. Also footage of Papuan people building a house with modern tools, layed out fields and the modern sawmill in Manokwari. In the Arfak area roads are constructed to transport wood from the inland to the coast. Papuan people help with the construction of the road, in exchange for their help they receive canned food.
