The picture shows buildings at the Washington Market on the corner of Murray and Washington Streets (258-262 Washington Street, 97 Murray Street). The corner building was the Edgar Laing Stores building completed in 1849. It was later better known as Bogardus Building. It was dismanteled in 1971, all elements numbered for reconstruction. But some of the cast-iron pieces were stolen in 1974, the rest in 1977. So today (2024) there are no old facade elements in the rebuild of the Bogardus Building at 19 Fulton Street. They are now even made of aluminium rather than cast iron.)
