English: Expedition 37/38 Soyuz Commander Oleg Kotov and Flight Engineer Sergey Ryazanskiy of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and NASA Flight Engineer Michael Hopkins launched on the Russian Soyuz TMA-10M spacecraft on Sept. 26, Kazakh time (Sept. 25, U.S. time) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to begin a six-hour journey to the International Space Station. Welcoming them aboard will be the current space station residents, Expedition 37 Commander Fyodor Yurchikhin of the Russian Federal Space Agency and Flight Engineers Karen Nyberg of NASA and Luca Parmitano of the European Space Agency. Yurchikhin, Nyberg and Parmitano arrived at the space station in May aboard their Soyuz TMA-09M spacecraft. |
