Notes: Photographed as part of an assignment for the General Services Administration.; Title, date and keywords from information provided by the photographer.; Purchase; Carol M. Highsmith; 2015; (DLC/PP-2015:143).; Forms part of: Photographs in the Carol M. Highsmith Archive.; The building was the largest single government construction project in the Baltimore/Washington Corridor in 1994. It was built for $179 million and is 1.2 million-square-feet. It is home to 4,400 federal employees. During 2012-2016 energy conservation measures were performed and saved 60% of the energy costs for the building, including solar panals on the roof, drainage gardens, LED light fixtures and how lighting was used in large and small spaces.; Credit line: Photographs in the Carol M.
