Added t.p. in French, which reads: Histoire naturelle des oiseaux de l'allemagne, représentés d'après nature et décrits par Jean Wolf et par Bernard Meyer. Nuremberg : I.F. Frauenholz, 1805
Issued in 29 parts, each having six plates with their text. A thirtieth part was in preparation, and others projected, in January, 1821. Hefte 1-15 constitute the first Band. The text to Hefte 1-7 was written by Wolf alone. See BM (Nat. hist.), v. 5, p. 2348
The plates were illustrated by A. Gabler, J.M. Hergenroeder, and Stoelzner. The engravers included Gabler, J.C. Bock, and Dieterich
Errors in paging: p. 123-130 (Bd. 1) and p. 91-92 (Bd. 2) were apparently omitted by the printer, with no loss of text
"For a list of the contents of the parts, see note by Wolf in 'Isis,' Bd. VIII, 1821, Beylage No. 4. This list differs somewhat from the actual contents of the volumes, and the published list of the plates in Vol. 1" --BM (Nat. hist.), v. 5, p. 2348
