English: National flag of Turkey and its empire (after 1844) The flag of Turkey and its empire from 1844. The flag is made of wool bunting with a cotton hoist. It is machine sewn at the ends, the top and bottom sides of the flag are selvedge edges. A rope halyard is attached to hoist the flag. It has a red field with a printed white star and crescent. The design is inaccurate with an eight pointed star not the correct five. 'MP' is inscribed on the hoist. |
