| Description |
English: Nant Coli - Abandoned settlement Only the walls remain of the old Tai Unnos ("One night houses") in this abandoned settlement. Victorian OS maps name it as Coli; present day maps refer to the side valley leading into the Doethie as Nant Coli. Earth and stone wall enclosures are banked up and overgrown. The line of the Bridleway leading there is still JUST discernible through the bracken in summer. Walking up there now can be hard work across tussocky terrain.
Apparently the sale of contents from the house took place in 1939. It is said that there are still elderly people in llanddewi-Brefi who remember the sisters who lived at Coli. |
