Description
《黔書》分上、下二卷,上卷凡32則,述建置沿革、風土人物,各"蠻部"方言,名勝古蹟;下卷54則,述名宦先賢、書院神廟、公祠碑記、古今物產。每則咸系以論,間附丁煒評贊之語。卷首有康熙范承勛、徐嘉炎及蔣寅三序,後有王永烈跋。 作者長於文章,此書"大抵采《貴州通志》,而附以逸聞"。"其書自成一家,如康對山《武功志》、陸稼書《靈壽志》之類,非徒縱貫一方之舊聞"(《貴陽府志•藝文略》)。周中孚《鄭堂讀書記補遺》謂此書"搜羅博洽,考證詳確,文極沉奧古勁,間付詩賦,亦皆可誦"。

Works of Chinese origin that have entered the public domain in the U.S. due to certain circumstances (such as publication in noncompliance with U.S. copyright formalities) may have had their U.S. copyright restored under the Uruguay Round Agreements Act (URAA) if the work was under copyright in its country of origin on the date that the URAA took effect in that country. (For the People's Republic of China, the URAA took effect on January 1, 1996. For the Republic of China (ROC), the URAA took effect on January 1, 2002.[1])
