通行書名は「賢歌愚評」(けんかぐひょう)。松平定信が文化8年(1811)頃に詠んだ「春秋吟」40首および文化6年から7年にかけて詠んだ「住吉百首」から成り、全体に清水浜臣の批評が朱書されている。老中の座を辞して白河藩主であった定信54歳の文化8年の成立。本書は、江戸後期の書写と推定される。大本1冊。「春秋吟」の2首(13・26番歌)を欠く。天保-安政(1830-60)頃に活躍した江戸下谷の書家、関根為宝(ためとみ。号は江山)の旧蔵にかかる。最終丁ウラほか書中のあちこちに大小陰陽さまざまな彼の印記が都合40顆以上押捺されている(既刊の蔵書印譜各種および国文学研究資料館「蔵書印データベース」に未載)。(神作研一)(2022.1)(参考文献)神作研一「歌人としての松平定信」(『近世和歌史の研究』所収、角川学芸出版、2013)
