廷臣間の礼式を記した書。書名は通称による。扉(もと原表紙か)には「弘安礼節事」と墨書する。「弘安礼式」「弘安制符」など異名が多い。弘安8年(1285)に一条内経、花山院家定らが編集したとされるが、編者には疑問が多い。『群書類従』所収の流布本は全六箇条だが、伝本により内容に出入りがあり、本写本は、「院中礼節事」「路頭事」「書札礼事」の三箇条から成る。虫損があり、全紙に裏打ちを施す。第2丁の大半、第9、11丁の下半部は別紙を継いで補い、似た筆跡で補写している。奥書に「永享八(1436)二月二日買得之畢/捨身□(蔵か)芥者参」とあり、これ以前の書写。前半の紙背には具注暦があるが、何年のものか未詳。「宝玲文庫」は言語学者フランク・ホーレー(1906-61)の蔵書印。
