和漢聯句は、連歌と漢詩の句を交えて付けていくもので、鎌倉時代後期から江戸時代初期に盛行した。これは慶長10年(1605)9月27日に禁中で行われたもの。巻末の寛文2年(1662)清原(舟橋)相賢の識語によれば、祖父清原秀賢(1575-1614)の筆である。秀賢の日記『慶長日件録』当日の條にも、自身執筆に当たったことが記されている。秀賢は国賢の子。儒学の家清原家の当主で、慶長6年家名を舟橋に改称した。作者は後陽成天皇(無署名)はじめ、照高院准后(興意親王)、関白近衛信尹、有節瑞保など、執筆清原秀賢(1句のみ)を含め11名。別掲『賦何舩連歌』(請求記号<WA16-112>)、『夢想之連歌』(請求記号<WA16-114>)とともに同じ木箱に収められている。箱書は漢学者倉田績(柚岡。1827-1919)の執筆。作者の経歴等を記した紙片1葉が付属。
