画題:十二月ノ内・衣更着・梅見画工名:歌川豊国(3代) 落款:豊國画(年玉枠) 改印:「寅六」「改」(嘉永7年6月改) 判・種類:大判、錦絵、3枚続種類:美人画、風俗画版元:(富士山形に蔦に星)(蔦屋吉蔵) 解説:黒の年玉枠内に「十二月ノ内」と題する美人画揃物の一図。「衣更着」は2月の異称。梅見の四美人を描く。墨絵風な老樹の梅花に、ぼかし下げた紅の背景が華やかさを添えている。竹垣には山吹が咲き、薄縁(うすべり)を敷いた広い縁台で酒肴が供されているのは、然るべき料理屋などの庭とみえる。江戸近郊の梅の名所としては亀戸梅屋敷、百花園、蒲田村、杉田村などが知られている。左図の、眉を剃りお歯黒を着け楊枝を使っている黒紋付の女性は町家の内儀らしく、この行楽の主であろう。招かれた客か来合わせた知人か、二美人が加わり、これからまた杯を交わし、梅見を楽しむ様子が想像される。左図の黒の紋付には紗綾形、中図の青い着物には縦縞の正面摺が施されている。よく見ると、右図の小紋は年玉繋ぎで、裾には狐の行列が描かれている。(木村八重子)所収資料名:『風俗吾妻錦絵』(請求記号:寄別1-9-1-2)他に『錦絵帖』(請求記号:寄別2-8-2-7)
