| Description |
English: Mount Eagle. Grand name, but remember "Mount" in Scotland is a rather derogatory name for a hill, it's a corruption of Monadh and is usually applied to heathery lumps. This was once a huge moor, one that dominated the centre of the Black Isle, but has now been forested. Since this picture was taken the trees here have been felled.
Note, the trig is almost on a grid line, this may possibly be taken from just out of square. |
