Description
English: A complete copper-alloy phallic pendant of Roman date.

It is oval in section and terminates with a well cast tip 6.18mm in length, 5.87mm in width, 4.92mm in thickness. To either side of the base is a slightly oblique, slightly curving ridge which separates the phallus from the rounded testicles. On the back on the centre of the shaft is a rectangular loop for suspension, this is now filled with old corrosion products. 6.60mm in length, 4.12mm in width, 2.42mm in thickness.

This phallus measures 35.04mm in length, 4.79mm in width at the shaft, 10.62mm in width at the testicles, 4.99mm in thickness, 5.71g in weight.

There are similar examples recorded from Suffolk (Crummy et al, 2005, p. 158, no. 1, 4).
