English: Movement of male gamete in absence of receptive female. Video rendered from 50 frames acquired every 15 seconds; actual time interval 12.5 minutes. Red circle indicates starting position of male gamete whose trajectory was measured for the study. A long pseudopodia in the target gamete can be seen at approximately the 2 second point in the video. Other male gametes in the field of view demonstrate typical spinning and shuffling movements. |
