| Description |
English: Moraine below Cwm Uchaf Another small terminal moraine produced by ice accumulating in the cwm below Crib Goch. These features probably date to the Younger Dryas around 12,000 years ago when small corrie glaciers accumulated at altitude, but did not merge to form valley glaciers at lower level. All their debris is thus left at the lowest point of their extent - as here. Note that there are several large boulders as well finer material which is now grassed over. |
