English: Mural monument in St James' Church, Swimbridge, Devon, to Tristram II Chichester (1624-1654) of Hearsdon in the parish of Swimbridge. He was the eldest son and heir apparent of Tristram I Chichester (1595-1672) (dates per tudorplace.com) by his wife Eleanor (family unknown) (1603-1647), descended from the prominent Chichester family of Hall in the adjoining parish of Bishop's Tawton. He married wife unknown (identifiable by her as yet unidentified heraldry on the monument) by whom he had 4 daughters, mentioned in his will but not by name. (Vivian, Lt.Col. J.L., (Ed.) The Visitations of the County of Devon: Comprising the Heralds' Visitations of 1531, 1564 & 1620, Exeter, 1895, p.184 "Chichester of Hearsdon").
