Description
Português: Participando da campanha da ONU pelo Dia Internacional de Pessoas Afrodescendentes, a ministra Cida Gonçalves chama a atenção para a necessidade de enfrentar o racismo para alcançar a igualdade de gênero e assegurar os direitos humanos de todas as mulheres e meninas.

O racismo e o sexismo impõem obstáculos à plena realização dos direitos das mulheres e meninas negras, deixando-as mais sujeitas a violações e expostas às violências. São barreiras ao direito à educação, à saúde, à moradia, ao trabalho, à segurança, à participação política, ao lazer.

Por isso, reforçamos um dos compromissos assumidos no âmbito da Década Internacional de Afrodescendentes e em outros acordos internacionais: é fundamental integrar as perspectivas de gênero e raça em planos, políticas, leis e programas, para considerar as necessidades e realidades específicas das mulheres e meninas afrodescendentes.

Sem igualdade racial, não há igualdade de gênero nem desenvolvimento sustentável.
