Description
Deutsch: Eine von zwei Miesmuscheln streckt ihren Fuß aus, vermutlich um ihr direktes Umfeld zu erkunden.

Dass man hier den Fuß der Miesmuschel sieht, wurde bestätigt von Dr. Winny Adolph (Muschelbankmonitoring) der Nationalparkverwaltung Niedersächsisches Wattenmeer. Auf der englischsprachigen Seite zur Miesmuschel (Mytulis edulis) legt das beschriftete Photo einer geöffneten Miesmuschel nahe, dass man hier den Fuß sieht. Wer das sicher klarstellen kann, möge gerne die Bildbeschreibung hier ändern.

Der kurze Film entstand im August 2021 am seeseitigen Strand der Nordseeinsel Wangerooge. Die zwei Muscheln wurden nach den Filmaufnahmen wieder aus dem Glasaquarium herausgenommen und freigesetzt ins Meer.
