Español: Mendoza - Ferrocarril del Parque General San Martín. En 1908 en el parque General San Martín se movieron 304.000 m cúbicos de tierra para hacer el lago. Había un trencito de 60 cm de trocha angosta que transportaba la tierra y salía de la estación de tren desde avenida Las Heras y llegaba al parque. Se aprovechó ese tren para llevar hasta el cerro las partes del monumento que fue inaugurado en 1914. Después este simpático medio de locomoción quedo para que paseara la gente pagando un boleto y funcionó hasta 1930. |
