Description
Nederlands: Portretschildering van de Maastrichtse amateurhistoricus Martinus van Heylerhoff (1776-1854). Geboren 20-07-1776 / overleden 30-05-1854. Van 1841 tot 1850 lid van de gemeenteraad. Er is een laan naar hem vernoemd vanwege zijn vele verdiensten. Hij is o.a. de auteur van de geschied- en oudheidkundige schetsen van de stad Maastricht in de jaargangen 1825-1831 van de Annuaire de la province de Limbourg. Voor zijn geschied- en oudheidkundige mededelingen in de Franse taal geschreven, heeft hij mede gebruik gemaakt van de aantekeningen van zijn oom, licentiaat Mathias van Heylerhoff, oud-raadpensionaris van Maastricht. Daarnaast was hij vele jaren lid van het kerkbestuur van de Sint-Nicolaaskerk en later van de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk. Verblijfplaats schilderij: onbekend.
