In the distance, that appears to be the Schoenfeld Building (Standard Furniture, still extant 2020 as the Broadacres Building) and the New Washington Hotel (still extant 2020 as the Josephinum) so this is looking north on the east side of Second Avenue. The vertical sign is for Stone the Tailor at 1206 Second Avenue, so we are looking at Seneca Street and standing midblock to Spring Street. The sign for Stone the Tailor can be clearly seen in this 1923 image: https://digitalcollections.lib.washington.edu/digital/collection/imlsmohai/id/10006
