Description
Deutsch: Südlich von Hochstetten in der Marktgemeinde Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg steht am Waldrand des sogenannten Bergholzes das Steinkreuz im Stil eines Keltenkreuzes. Daneben ist eine Ruhebank aufgestellt, von der aus das Traubachtal überblickt werden kann.

Die Keuzsäule ist auf einem quadratischen Sockel errichtet. Der Ring ist auf einem sich nach oben verjüngenden Schaft in Form eines Obelisken aufgesetzt. Kreuze dieser Art haben ihren Ursprung im keltischen Kulturraum des Mittelalters auf den britischen Inseln.

Das Keltenkreuz ist ein Balkenkreuz mit verlängerten und verbreiterten Stützbalken über die ein Ring (Nimbus) gezogen ist. Zwischen den inneren Kreuzbalken und dem Ring ergeben sich vier viertelkreisförmige Durchbrüche. Der Ring überragt die Kreuzbalken vorne und hinten und ist auf der Vorderseite mit umlaufenden Ornamenten mit Kontur verziert. Im Zentrum ist eine Windrose als Relief eingearbeitet, die in dieser Form ebenfalls ein Kreuz symbolisiert.

An der Säule ist der eingemeißelte Satz zu lesen:

GOTT BEWAHRE UNS SEINE SCHÖPFUNG - 2020

Auf der Rückseite ist die Signatur des Steinmetzbetriebes Kainz aus Pfaffenberg zu sehen, der das sehr fein bearbeitete Kreuz im Jahre 2020 schuf.
