Description
Deutsch: Die Gedenksäule an der Bahnhofstraße in Mallersdorf besteht aus mehreren aufeinandergesetzten Steinen. Die Basis bildet ein breiter, oben abgefaster Sockelstein. Diesem folgen zwei weitere, etwas eingerückte Quader. Im folgenden hochkant aufgerichteten Stein befindet sich die Aufschrift. Darauf folgt das Figurenhäuschen, das gleich einem Haus mit spitzem Satteldach geformt ist. Dort ist ein rundbogiges Marienrelief aus Metall eingelassen.

Die Aufschrift am Stein lautet: "An dieser Stelle ist Hochwürdiger Herr geistlicher Rat Josef Unverdorben, Superior des Klosters am 05. Okt. 1924 tödlich verunglückt." Wie zu erfahren war, sind ihm auf dem Weg zum Bahnhof Mallersdorf mit einem Pferdegespann die Rösser durchgegangen, was für ihn zu einem tödlichen Unfall wurde.

Man findet das Marterl kurz vor dem südlichen Ortseingang an der Bahnhofstraße von Mallersdorf am östlichen Straßenrand. Nur wenige Meter nördlich fließt die kleine Laber. Im Hintergrund ist der neobarocke Klostertrakt St. Maria zu sehen.
