Description
Nederlands: Op het borduurfragment worden de aartsengel Michaël en de draak uitgebeeld. Michaël is gekleed in een harnas, maliënkolder, voor op de borst voorzien van een kruis, en wapenrok en beenkappen. In de linkerhand heeft hij een schild. Met de rechterhand heft hij het zwaard, om de duivelse draak, die met opengesperde muil zijn rechterbeen omklemd houdt, te vellen. Het fragment is bij de enkels versneden.

Techniek: aureool, beenkappen, zwaard, schild en harnas zijn van gelegd en met zijde gehecht gouddraad; de malienkolder is van zijde in ingrijpsteek en gelegd zilverdraad. De wapenrok, draak en lichaamspartijen zijn van zijde in ingrijpsteek, de haren in kettingsteek. Aan de wapenrok een zoom van gekreukeld gouddraad.

Staat: op de borst en rechterschouder van Michael is de floszijde ten dele gesleten. Het gouddraad is dof geworden.
