Description
Lietuvių: 2018 metų vasario 16 dieną dalis nuolatinių Mėčiūnų gyventojų, minėdami atkurtos Lietuvos valstybės šimtmetį, nuturė sukurti savo kaimo vėliavą, kurios geltoname fone, viršuje ir apačioje apribotame žalios spalvos juostomis, yra pavaizduotas žalios spalvos daugiašakis (Skrabulių) ąžuolas, po kurio laja matosi pilkos spalvos medvarlės ir paukščio kukučio, Mėčiūnuose gyvenančių gyvūnų rūšių, siluetai. Centrinėje vėliavos dalyje, po Skrabulių ažuolu, trys banguotos linijos simbolizuoja Mėčiūnų ežerus - Ančią, Šventaduonį ir Samanių. Intensyvi geltona vėliavos spalva simbolizuoja vakaro žarą, kuri Mėčiūnus gražiai "nudažo" vakarais.
