Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Bicarbonate-induced formation of neutrophil extracellular traps is delayed by DIDS. Neutrophils were cultivated in isotonic HBSS medium containing 75 mM of bicarbonate and 1% of BSA either in the absence (top) or presence (bottom) of 0.1 mM DIDS. Cells were stained with 0.1 μg/ml Hoechst 33342 (green) and 500 ng/ml propidium iodide (red). Images were captured every 30 s for 30 min. Microscopy was performed on an Axio Observer.Z1 microscope using a time-lapse shooting sequence. Time is indicated in seconds and the scale bar represents 20 μm.
