Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.; In Eindhoven worden bij de enige luciferfabriek in Nederland, die 100 jaar bestaat, stammen populierenhout van hun bast ontdaan en geschild tot fineer ter dikte van lucifers. In een afslagmachine worden stapels fineer afgesneden, zodat luciferhoutjes ontstaan. Deze worden geïmpregneerd en in de vloeibare kopmassa, bestaande uit kaliumchloraat, gedompeld. In een andere machine worden de luciferdoosjes gemaakt. In een vulmachine worden de doosjes gevuld en aan weerszijden van het doosje wordt een strijkvlak van fosfor aangebracht. Per dag worden 80 mln. lucifers geproduceerd.
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.; In Eindhoven is the only match factory in the Netherlands. It exists for 100 years. Trunks of poplar trees are stripped of their bark and cut to veneer with the thickness of a match. In a machine the piles of veneer are cut, to make the match sticks. These sticks are impregnated and the head is dipped into a liquid pool of potassium chlorate. In another machine the match boxes are made. In al filling machine they are filled and a striking surface of phosphorus is placed on both sides of the box. Each day 80 million matches are produced. |
