| Description |
English: Lough Chamais Like a mirror on this still morning, the lough reflects the high,white clouds. The water lies in a shallow hollow at an altitude of just 12 metres. All around is a wide blanket bog, through which a few low, granite knolls protrude. The horizon climbs gently to a peak of 72 metres, which is quite high for this coastal area.
The OSI gives no name for this lough, so I am indebted to a correspondent for the name which is given in Tim Robinson's map. |
