| Description |
English: Lime kiln at God's Bridge The footpath from West Mellwaters is far from obvious in the snow, but a line of existing footprints led me on roughly the right line to God's Bridge. The riverbed here is completely snow-covered as the entire volume of the River Greta at this point is underground. Even when the river runs on the surface, God's bridge conducts the walker across, past the lime kiln and up to the old occupation bridge next to God's Bridge Cottage. |
