Description

KANTOORPAND MET AANGEBOUWDE CONCIëGEWONING gebouwd voor de Algemeene Friesche Levensverzekering Maatschappij in 1895-1896 door H. Kramer in Neo-Hollandse Renaissancestijl aan de Eewal op de hoek van de Huygensstraat.Het is het eerste als kantoor gebouwde pand in Leeuwarden. Op deze plek stond het Huygenshuis. n 1914 vertrok de Algemeene Friesche naar het Burmaniahuis en werd het pand in gebruik genomen door de Onderlinge Brandwaarborg Maatschappij, die het tegelfries tussen de hoofdbouwlagen liet aanpassen.
