Manuscript contains instructions for knitting and crocheting lace; mounted examples illustrate each pattern.  Five envelopes containing 14 additional undated patterns, both handwritten and clipped from newspapers, are inserted.
Author's name and date written on p. 2 of cover; author's name appears as: Eunice Coffin M.D.
Three of the inserted envelopes are imprinted with the return address of the Nantucket School of Needlery, Nantucket Island, Mass.
Forms part of the Mary Ann Beinecke Decorative Art Collection.
