Description
Deutsch: An der Straße SR55, etwa auf halber Strecke zwischen Neuhofen und Martinsbuch steht das Marterl rechts an der Abzweigung zur sogenannten Hochstraße oder Depodstraße auf einer Anhöhe. Dort befindet sich auch der Rettungstreffpunkt SR-L-2104 kurz vor der Landkreisgrenze Straubing-Bogen zu Dingolfing-Landau.

Das Höflinger Marterl aus dem Jahre 1592 dürfte wohl das älteste seiner Art in der Region sein. Möglicherweise wurde aber auch die Jahreszahl bei einer früheren Restaurierung falsch interpretiert. 2004 wurde das Bild erneut renoviert und zum Schutz hinter einer Glasscheibe montiert. Die Jahreszahl ist in den Pfahl geschnitzt.

Die Einhausung ist auf einem quadratischen Pfahl aus Eichenholz befestigt und hat im Hintergrund die Form eines Kreuzes. Die Rückseite ist geschlossen und mit einem Satteldach bedeckt. Seitlich sind geschweifte Bretter angebracht. Das gemalte, historische Bild zeigt den heiligen Hubertus von Lüttich, den Schutzpatron der Jäger, dem am Karfreitag im Wald ein Hirsch begegnet ist, der zwischen den Sprossen des Geweihs ein Kreuz trug.

Am unteren Bildrand ist zu lesen: Zum frommen Andenken an Franz Höflinger, Revierförster aus Franken.
