| Description |
Deutsch: In Habelsbach steht das nach Osten gerichtete Steinkreuz nordwestlich an einem Feldrain hoch über dem Dorf. Das Flurkreuz besteht aus mehreren Quadersteinen. Dem in den Boden eingegrabenen Fundament folgt ein breiter Stein, auf dem etwas eingezogen der hochkant aufgerichtete Hauptstein errichtet ist, der oben segmentbogig abschließt. Die Ränder aller Steine sind mit schrägen Nuten verziert um ein Bossenwerk anzudeuten. An der Oberseite stand ein kleines Marmorkreuz. Durch Witterungseinflüsse wurde es abgesprengt und lag zerbrochen am Boden. Für das Foto habe ich das vorgefundene Fragment neben dem einbetonierten Eisenzapfen aufgestellt. Die Inschrift an der Vorderseite eingelassenen Tafel lautet:
"Gelobt sei Jesus Christus. Gott schütze unsere Fluren. Errichtet von Josef und Anna Höring" Am Sockel weiter unten ist noch der Schriftzug "Auf Wiedersehn" zu erkennen. Wie kann man das Kreuz finden? In Habelsbach führt am nordwestlichen Ortsausgang ein Weg zum Einödhof Prech. Vor den letzten Häusern zweigt ein Kiesweg nach links ab. Nach 700 Metern steht das Kreuz an der Westseite des Weges auf einer Höhe von 410 Metern. |
