Deutsch: Das Blendelkreuz ist ein Viernagelkreuz aus Gusseisen auf einem hohen Steinsockel. Die Kreuzenden und der Kreuzungspunkt sind mit Rosetten verziert. Eine ebenfalls aus Gusseisen bestehende Kartusche mit einer Girlande aus Blumen und Rankwerk umschließt eine Blechtafel mit der Aufschrift: "Gelobt sei Jesus Christus"
Der Steinsockel enthält eine Kalksteinplatte mit der Inschrift: Errichtet von Josef u. Anna Blendl 1905 - Renoviert von Familie Daffner 1955. Die Beschriftungen sind bereits stark verwittert und kaum mehr zu entziffern. Die Enkelin von Josef Blendl berichtet aus Erzählungen über den Anlass der Errichtung des Kreuzes. Josef Blendl war bei Nacht zu Fuß unterwegs und verirrte sich im dichten Wald. Plötzlich erschien ihm etwas Unbekanntes, was ihm große Angst machte. Er gelobte, wenn er wieder wohlbehalten heimkommen würde, an dieser Stelle ein Dankeskreuz aufzustellen. |
