Description
English: Krindjabo is a village in southeastern Côte D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and was the capital of the former Agni Kingdom of Sanwi. During Michael Jackson high-profile visit to Africa in 1992, Jackson visited several countries, among them Gabon and Egypt. His first stop to Gabon was greeted with a sizable and enthusiastic reception of more than 100,000 people, some of them carrying signs that read, "Welcome Home Michael." In his trip to Côte d'Ivoire, Jackson was crowned "King Sani" by a tribal chief. He then thanked the dignitaries in French and English, signed official documents formalizing his kingship and sat on a golden throne while presiding over ceremonial dances, a title he held up until his death. He personally described as the "land of his ancestors". Michael Jackson Crowned King in Côte D'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) Africa elderly women are the guardians of the village, and their ceremonial dances gave their blessings to the crowning of"King Sani" and asked God for protection of a tree that symbolized the essence of power. He journeyed to West and East African nations as a self-proclaimed ambassador of peace, love and goodwill, achieved a success that exceeded his expectation.
