Masks of the traditional figure of the Austrian and Bavarian "Krampus" (also "Percht" (Salzburg, Upper Austria), or "Klaubauf" (Tirol)) are a topic for sculptors and wood carvers. They vary and develop the general scheme of a bad and frightening spirit. These masks are still used in folkloristic traditional processions.
