Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Orang-orang lebih mengenal Banjarmasin sebagai bandar atau pelabuhan besar, tetapi belum mengenal bandar-bandar lain, seperti Bandar Muara Bahan (Marabahan), Bandar Rampiau, dan Bandar Muara Mulak Negara. Bandar-bandar ini mempunyai peran yang tidak kecil dalam mendukung kemajuan dan kejayaan Bandar Masih (Banjarmasin) pada masa lampau. Peran Banjarmasin secara ekonomi, sosial, politik dan budaya tidak terlepas dari peran bandar-bandar di sepanjang daerah aliran sungai (DAS) Barito. Buku Kota Marabahan Kabupaten Barito Kuala Dalam Lintasan Sejarah ini akan menyajikan dua kajian mengenai Bandar Marabahan, yakni “Peran Ganda Bandar Marabahan Abad XIX di Kabupaten Barito Kuala Kalimantan Selatan” dan “Permukiman Orang Bakumpai di Marabahan pada Abad XX”. Kedua tulisan ini mencoba menampilkan realitas historis masa lampau Bandar Marabahan. Sebuah penggambaran yang mencoba menampilkan dinamika, sosial, politik, ekonomi dan juga budaya Bandar Marabahan secara umum, dan kemudian memfokuskan perhatian pada keberadaan benteng Belanda serta permukiman orang Bakumpai di kota tersebut. Kajian pertama berfokus pada Bandar Marabahan secara umum dan kemudian menukikkan perhatian pada keberadaan benteng Belanda di bandar tersebut. Adapun dalam kajian kedua, setelah membincangkan keberadaan Marabahan secara umum, kemudian membahas secara umum permukiman orang Bakumpai di kota itu. Kajian ini mencoba menundukkan siapa orang Bakumpai, dari mana asal usul mereka, serta bagaimana proses perkembangan dan interaksi mereka dengan etnik lain sehingga akhirnya mereka jadi orang Bakumpai.
English: People are more familiar with Banjarmasin as a big city or port, but they are unfamiliar with other ports, such as Bandar Muara Bahan (Marabahan), Bandar Rampiau, and Bandar Muara Mulak Negara. These ports have played no small role in supporting the progress and glory of Bandar Masih (Banjarmasin) in the past. The role of Banjarmasin economically, socially, politically, and culturally is inseparable from the role of the ports along the Barito River flow. The book Kota Marabahan Kabupaten Barito Kuala Dalam Lintasan Sejarah will present two studies on Bandar Marabahan, namely "The Dual Role of Bandar Marabahan in the XIX Century in Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan" and "Settlements of the Bakumpai People in Marabahan in the XX Century." These two papers try to present the historical reality of Bandar Marabahan's past. A depiction that tries to present the dynamics, social, political, economic as well as culture of Bandar Marabahan in general, and then focuses attention on the existence of a Dutch fort and Bakumpai settlements in the city. The first study focuses on Bandar Marabahan in general and then draws attention to the presence of a Dutch fort in the city. As for the second study, after discussing the presence of Marabahan in general, then discussing the Bakumpai people's settlements in the city in general. This study tries to subdue who the Bakumpai people are, where they come from, and how the process of their development and interactions with other ethnic groups so that in the end, they became Bakumpai people.
