Summary
[edit]DescriptionKloostertuin St-Gregor, Missiehuis St-Michael, Steyl - droogloop 1.jpg |
English: Garden wall, derelict greenhouse and a covered walkway in the monastery gardens of Missiehuis Sint-Michaël in Steyl (Tegelen), Limburg, the Netherlands. The monastery in Steyl is the motherhouse of the Society of the Divine Word (Latin: Societas Verbi Divini or SVD) of Roman Catholic missionaries. The monastery gardens are divided into three sections: 1. the section around the main monastery buildings, between the river Meuse and Sint Michaëlstraat (the smallest part); 2. the section around Sint-Gregorklooster, south of Parkstraat (shown here); 3. the section around the former print shops, between Parkstraat, Kloosterstraat and Zusterstraat (the largest part).
