Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Kirk Loch The Kirk Loch lies below the old parish kirk of Ethie, from which, presumably, it takes the name. It contains a fine example of a wave-cut platform in the Ethie Lavas. The long inlets are collapsed sea caves; one of them, on the far side of the bay, still penetrates some way under the rocks. In stormy weather, if it is not clogged with grit and pebbles, the pressure of the waves sends a small founatin up through a blow-hole to landward of this cave.
