English: Looking along King's Reach of the Thames and Severn Canal towards the Sapperton Tunnel so named following a visit of King George III during the tunnel's construction. The Monarch's Way long distance footpath uses the towpath, which recalls a prince (future Charles II)'s flight (fleeing) from the country after defeat at the Battle of Worcester. |
