Nederlands: Kilimanjaro. In 2008, team "Professional Mounting Kill" summited Mount Kilimanjaro; Africa's highest mountain. Together, we had recently completed a semester in Tanzania and to say we knew each other pretty well would be an understatement. Our group camaraderie provided limitless entertainment and motivation during our journey to the summit. At each campsite we drew names from a hat to determine tent mates; this quickly became one of our favorite rituals.
Team Professional Mounting Kill (with mountain names, haha): Isabel- gas-titty. Will- wonderbeard 34C/when hairy met steve. Steve- abraharem lincoln/Into the Will. Mike-hiker buttons down. Brent- bRENT: the MEOWsical. Tanner- Dr. stinks mcgee nipple rot: tp topless . Gabby- fabulous grabulous. Beth- the sweateknees clown. Hilary- Lary and the Chapmunks. Jen- eaker beaker Kristy- holy wrapped kristante batman. Barbara- Our mom. Ashley- bronchosaurus. Japser- Harry Porter I cannot speak for the rest of the group but, this was probably the best seven consecutive days of my life...so far. This was my first attempt at making a video edit and I did so immediately when I returned home to try to "preserve" my feelings of Africa. Route: Machame 7-day Reached the Summit at 6 a.m. May 15, 2008 Camera: Canon PowerShot SX100IS Music: "Yeti" by Caribou Other notes: The night before we were suppose to begin, one of my roommates, or myself, lost our hotel key and there were no back-ups, so one guy had to drill through the lock (manually) to let us in our room. |
