Oh Lord, won't you buy me a wide-angle lenz. For the moment 24mm on a 1.6 body is as low as I can go with any quality (24-105mm L - my only "real" lens); not enough to get as much sea as I wanted, really. That said, I really like the lines in this portrait version - I got lucky with a sweep of cloud to keep some lead and balance through the top of the picture. This probably qualifies as my most dangerous picture - a clamber round the cliffs to get enough westward angle for the light placing me on a cracked ledge with enough room for either legs or tripod, but not both. I choose tripod. Fired the flash to help get as much detail as possible into the cliffs; don't think it was as futile a gesture as I feared it would be at the time. Details: 24 seconds ¦ f/22 ¦ ISO 100. Update: Explored #23. Many thanks to everyone who has commented, fav'ed and viewed. I massively appreciate the attention and insights offered. Thanks to all! |
