Hudson County Burglars On Trial. The Hudson County (N.J.) Court of Sessions, Judge Garretson presiding, was occupied yesterday with the trial of four burglars who for several months made successive raids upon the lower section of Jersey City, and occasionally extended their operations to Greenville and Bayonne. They were finally tracked to their head quarters in New-York by Detectives Bowe and Keenan, who took them into custody, assisted by the New-York officers. The prisoners on trial are Joseph Heins, Jacob Lindauer, Martin Smith, and "Butch" Muller. A large quantity of plunder found in their possession was identified by different people in Jersey City and Bayonne as having been stolen from their houses. On January 13 last the detectives made a descent on the premises No. 141 Mott street, New-York, occupied by Jacob Lindauer, and there found the stolen property. There are tour indictments for burglary against the prisoners, but the one on which they are being tried charges them with having on January 11, 1881, broken into and robbed Martin Hubbe's residence on Bayview-avenue, Bayonne. When had closed its case a nolle prosequi was entered as to Muller, there being no evidence to connect hits with the case on trial. The case was still on when the court adjourned for the day.
