Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Beat created using software instrument from a recorded sample of a South Asian folk instrument Jhirijhiri (Odia: ଝିରିଝିରି) (also known as jhunu jhuni (Odia: ଝୁଣଝୁଣି), jhumuka (ଝୁମୁକା)) that is mostly played by children. It is made by weaving dried palm leaves creating a few polygons inside which sands are filled which makes the noise when played. It is sold in local fairs in rural Odisha, and in several other Indian states. Jhirijhiri is also made in Nepal and Pakistan and is called jhun jhuna in both the countries, and Kilu kiluppai (கிலுகிலுப்பை) in Tamil.
