In zijn speech richt hij zich tot een groeiende meerderheid die zich niet laat leiden door angst maar door hoop, niet door pessimisme maar door optimisme en het verlangen naar verandering. Mensen die zich niet meer laten afleiden door de proefballonnetjes van het CDA of het PVV-corvee van de VVD. De Provinciale Statenverkiezingen en de verkiezing van de Eerste Kamer op 20 maart gaan over het klimaat. Het zijn de klimaatverkiezingen. Je ziet het aan de scholieren, die in actie komen voor een ambitieus klimaatbeleid. Je ziet het aan de Klimaatmars, die met jouw hulp de grootste ooit gehouden in Nederland kan worden. En je ziet het aan al die vrijwilligers, die zich op dit congres, op de Meetups, langs de deuren of online laten zien. Stem 20 maart voor verandering.
